Players will get to face multiple unique enemies, gather resources, find weapons, and survive inside a space station called Citadel. The game follows the furious actions of an AI called SHODAN, who has turned rogue after humans' failed attempt to destroy it. Now, after almost three decades, Nightdive Studios is attempting to release a loyal remake of the original experience with some enhancements in the gameplay to make it fit into today's gaming taste. The game become a source of inspiration for many other successful titles thanks to its innovative use of physics and 3D graphics.

Of course, the demo build is older than the launch build, which means you should expect a number of improvements and enhancements, which were revealed after the demo's announcement earlier this year. The demo takes around 15 minutes to complete and allows you to test some gameplay mechanics. Before its release on PC, Nightdive Studios launched a free demo of the game on Steam, which is still playable, so in case you have any doubts about making a purchase, you can play it a bit before buying it. As revealed previously, System Shock will also be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, but its release date for those consoles is yet to be announced.
